This gallery glimpses into the world of our Architecture, Build and Project Management practices.

From the grandest of new build designs in rural idylls…

…to the re-modelling of something smaller, but no less considered, such as this home in prime central London.

A client’s aspirations will always be captured first by our architects’ pens.

A new build should always sit in harmony with its surroundings.

The positioning of the property on the plot , and the landscape design are always considered from the outset.

Planning restrictions would have proven a stumbling block for many a designer, during the modernisation of this Grade I listed farm house and stables.

…however strong collaboration between our architecture and construction teams, ultimately created a beautiful home with this charming courtyard pool area.

Early concept sketches, illustrate how our architect’s vision was to keep the natural character of property, whilst achieving  the graceful finish desired by the client.

We go to great lengths to source the best build materials. In the past purchasing entire quarries, in order to secure the supply of a particular stone required for a build.

When our client requested a pizza oven to be installed poolside.

Our designers commissioned a blacksmith to wrought a bespoke iron door into the facade of the adjoining pool house.

These are the touches that define Janine Stone & Co.

When the conservation of a rare bat breed almost prevented our clients from realising the house of their dreams, we engineered a solution that would safely accommodate these flying critters in the roof of the building and satisfy planning authorities.

When we designed and built this pool, it was constructed to precisely 12.5 meters in length, allowing our client to track his daily performance.

When we ensure each stone was hand-cut to measure and meticulously placed according to our detailed designs.

Whilst renovation is usually preferable, certainly if an existing property is listed.

Sometimes the best solution is demolition of the old to make way for the new.

Many clients have employed us for classical design and build projects, yet our architects are equally versed the modern aesthetic.

This international project, required an open plan design suiting the exotic climes in which the property was situated.

The working illustrations show collaboration between architect and landscape artist.

The result – a modern design where water, garden and natural wooden decking flow through the shared interior spaces.

Inspiration was sourced from all corners of the globe – including the use of coconut shells for door cladding – as sometimes used in French Polynesia.

Minimising disruption during the build is always a vital consideration when gaining planning permission and satisfying local residents.

This 5000 square foot basement in prime central London, is a top down basement construction, allowing noise and dust to be reduced.

Just like a swan, sometimes all the action happens below the surface.

How we design a home that satisfies both our clients and local planning officers – is a challenge faced every architect  on every project.

Sweeping scenic views surrounding this property, meant that from our design had to be quietly unassuming from the surrounding hills.

By cutting into the hillside at the rear of the property,  our design and build team constructed a home that satisfied planning officers and our client’s family.

Similarly, the renovation of this Grade II*  Lutyens property in Cambridgeshire.

Our scope of work and it’s style is as individuals as our clients, their aspirations and tastes.

… From the fusing of this Georgian home with a traditional Oast house building, via a contemporary glazed extension.

…to the contemporary designs,

…villa designs,

…grade I restorations,

… and country estates.
