House & Garden Challenges Janine Stone & Co.
A New Editorial Series For 2020
The new year sees the launch of a new series in House & Garden Magazine, where Janine Stone & Co. will be set the challenge of responding to a design brief set by the acclaimed design magazine’s interiors editors …
What’s The Series About …
If you have ever wondered how the most luxurious interior schemes are conceived, then this series should shed light on the designer’s creative process and inspiration.
Each month the editors of House & Garden Magazine will issue the interior design team at Janine Stone & Co. a brief and they will have to devise a creative response (#creativeresponse). The magazine’s editors will then dissect what has been created – critiquing the spatial plan, interior style, palette choice, furniture, fixtures and finishes – as they attempt to understand the inner workings of the designer’s mind.
Janine Stone & Co.’s 1st Design Challenge …
This new series begins with Janine Stone’s interior designers being challenged to create a contemporary entertaining space for a high-flying couple with a penchant for Parisian style. House & Garden’s reaction to their creative response has been published in the February 2020 edition of the magazine, which is available in shops from today.
Janine Stone comments:
“Responding to a design brief is always a challenge. One of the key requirements of being a successful interior designer is the ability to inhabit the tastes and preferences of a client.”
“This series will showcase the talent of our interior design team and our ability to create personalised interior designs, that do not fit any cookie cutter moulds or feel in anyway pastiche!”
House & Garden comment on Janine Stone’s first creative response:
“Good design should be invisible – felt rather than seen. This stylish scheme is a strong case in point.”
