Gillian leads the company’s communications strategy, creating the marketing materials, working with advertising partners, developing and maintaining strong media relations both in the UK and internationally, and creating an engaging digital presence for the brand including the development of Janine’s successful Journal for the company’s award winning website.
Gillian ensures an active and regular engagement programme to communicate the company’s exciting projects and range of work including the Young Interior Designer Award. She has extensive contacts across media, luxury brands and property sectors and develops a range of business opportunities for the brand from collaborations with the design industry to creating and producing the Young Interior Designer Award Programme. She also has a remit to reach out to business intermediaries to develop commercial opportunities for the company.
She began her career in the world of blue chip retail where she conceived and developed the concept of supermodel PR campaigns for Marks & Spencer. She has worked with some of the world’s top supermodels including Christie Turlington-Burns, Linda Evangelista and Claudia Schiffer alongside renowned international photographers and creative design talent. Today that creative knowledge and expertise has been translated to the world of interior design, architecture and construction and the development of the Janine Stone brand.
