Derek Headington
Heritage and Listed Buildings

Before joining Janine Stone in 2002, Derek spent many years in senior positions in different architectural practices. During this time, he developed a specialism in residential and ecclesiastical buildings, and a particular flair for the alteration and renovation of historic and listed buildings.

He joined us to become more closely involved with the practical side of the construction industry – and as the scope of our portfolio has grown over the years, his experience has widened.

Derek gets involved in all stages of a project – from concept design through to site installation – using his specialist skills and knowledge to resolve the specific challenges of heritage properties. He also has a broader role across the firm’s design and construction activities, ensuring we always achieve the outstanding results our clients demand.

He especially enjoys being able to collaborate with experts who share his exacting standards:

“The work we do here at Janine Stone is highly specialised. As well as the satisfaction of being involved in such prestigious projects, this has also given me the opportunity to work closely with companies and craftsmen I wouldn’t have met elsewhere.”
